Dawn Loggins, Student, Heading To Harvard After Being Homeless, Abandoned By Parents — When facing homelessness, bullying, and being abandoned by family, many people might be tempted to give up hope. But for 18-year-old Dawn Loggins, who was just accepted into Harvard University, this was not the case. “When I was younger, I looked around at my family and I saw the neglect, the drug abuse, the bad choices and I saw my family living from paycheck to paycheck, and I just made a decision that I was not going to end up like my parents. After years of hard work, catch up, and at times even working as a school custodian, Loggins’ dream finally became a reality when she opened her acceptance letter from Harvard.

Joined by world-famous musicians, religious leaders and peace activists were people of all ages, colors and beliefs assembled to celebrate “PEACE SUNDAY — WE HAVE A DREAM”. In the week following, many of these same celebrities and humanitarians journeyed to San Francisco and New York City, where similar concerts were held. Over 500,000 attended the New York City event, making it the Largest concert crowd in American history.

An editor and writer as well as an accomplished actor, Hirsh will direct and also lead the cast as the curmudgeonly linguist, Henry Higgins. He is excited to be working with experienced musical theater actors as well as the Corvallis Repertory Singers, 16 of whom will provide the chorus for the production’s crowd scenes.

“The entire album is kind of based around a letting go process and learning to take life’s experiences and fly with them,” Johanna, the 25-year-old singer/songwriter described. Her music is an eclectic mix of jazz, folk, rock, and at times even some reggae. She began making music at age 9, and her talent blossomed from there.
